Vidyalaya at a glance :

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Garhbanaili, Purnea is located at Garhbanaili just 10 km away from district headquarter Purnea. Vidyalaya is very nearer to NH-57 which is converted into Express Highway (East West Corridor) which runs up to border of Nepal.

Vidyalaya has 25 Acres donated land which was donated by Hazi Md. Kamaluddin and Md. Naseem Fani. The district Purnea is famous for it's Anchalik Sahityakar Phaneeswar Nath Renu and noval written by Renu.

The place Garhbanaili is famous for its fair and for the very popular film "TEESARI KASAM" which was picturised at Garbanaili. Garbanaili is also famour for a particular Holy Tree and Pond of Mahabharat period where Pandava's stayed for some days during their exile period and answered the questions of YAKSHA and from there they proceeded to the place of Raja Virat which is at present in Virat Nagar, Nepal.
