Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya,Purnea, was established in 1987 In this school, computer Education programme and computer literacy programme strated since Sept. 2001.This School is providing computer education to the students of rural areas.The students of this Vidyalaya are getting knowledge about Information Technology They are also getting upto-date information about latest technology and development.Students are also learning Information Tehnology and computer science(083) as elective subject in calass X & XII. Computer lab is also being used to provide support to the school office. Beside ,a special thrust is laid for the junior group of students from classes VI onward so that they could be motivated well towards the various usage of computer operation in day to day life.As this JNV is the pace -setting institution of the district,it is in the large interest if institution 's computer status is raised leading to the mass awareness in the field of IT for the budding talents destitute of facilities.
